At Danystone Designs, we are committed to delivering your custom-made gown safely and securely. Please review our shipping policy below to understand our delivery process and your responsibilities.

1. SHIPPING REGIONS

1.1 Standard Shipping Regions

We offer free shipping to:

  • New Zealand (all regions)
  • Australia (all regions)

1.2 International Shipping

We can ship to other countries outside New Zealand and Australia. If you require international shipping:

  • Shipping fees will apply and will be quoted based on your location
  • Additional customs duties and import taxes may apply (customer's responsibility)

2. SHIPPING COSTS

2.1 Free Shipping

We offer free standard shipping on all orders to New Zealand and Australia with no minimum order value required.

2.2 Express Shipping

Express shipping options are available upon request for an additional fee. Please contact us to discuss:

  • Availability based on your location
  • Additional costs
  • Expedited delivery timeframes

2.3 International Shipping Fees

For countries outside New Zealand and Australia, shipping fees vary based on destination and will be communicated before you confirm your order.

3. PRODUCTION AND SHIPPING TIMEFRAMES

3.1 Production Time

All Danystone Designs products are custom-made to order:

  • Standard production time: Up to 2 months from receipt of measurements
  • Some orders may require additional time depending on complexity and material availability
  • Rush orders may be available for an additional fee (contact us to discuss)

3.2 Shipping Time

Once your product is completed and dispatched:

  • New Zealand and Australia: Typically within 12 days
  • International: Varies by destination (will be advised at time of order)

3.3 Total Delivery Time

Your total delivery time includes both production time (up to 2 months) plus shipping time (typically within 12 days for NZ/AU).

4. SHIPPING CARRIERS

4.1 Carriers Used

We primarily use:

  • NZ Post
  • Other reputable carriers depending on destination and circumstances

4.2 Tracking Information

  • All shipments include tracking information
  • You will receive a shipping notification email with tracking details once your order is dispatched
  • You can monitor your delivery progress using the tracking number provided

5. PACKAGING

5.1 Standard Packaging

All products are packaged to high standards:

  • Waterproof packaging to prevent moisture and water damage
  • Protective materials to ensure safe transit
  • Secure packaging to maintain product quality during shipping

5.2 Special Items

Delicate items such as veils are given extra care:

  • Individually wrapped in protective plastic bags
  • Additional cushioning as needed
  • Packaged to prevent crushing or damage

6. DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

6.1 Signature on Delivery

We strongly encourage signature-required delivery for your protection:

  • Ensures your valuable custom-made gown is received safely
  • Prevents package theft or misdelivery
  • Provides confirmation of delivery

6.2 Delivery Instructions

You may specify delivery instructions when placing your order, such as:

  • Safe place for package if no one is home
  • Preferred delivery time (subject to carrier availability)
  • Special access instructions

6.3 Accurate Shipping Address

You are responsible for:

  • Providing a complete and accurate delivery address
  • Ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery (if signature required)
  • Updating your address before dispatch if needed

7. SHIPPING ADDRESS CHANGES

7.1 Before Dispatch

You may change your shipping address at any time before your order is dispatched by:

  • Providing your order number and new address details

7.2 After Dispatch

Once your order has been dispatched, we cannot change the shipping address. You will need to:

  • Contact the shipping carrier directly using your tracking number
  • Arrange address changes or delivery redirection with the carrier (fees may apply)

8. ORDER PROCESSING AND NOTIFICATIONS

8.1 Production Updates

We will keep you informed throughout the production process.

8.2 Shipping Notifications

Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive:

  • Email notification confirming dispatch
  • Tracking number and carrier information
  • Estimated delivery timeframe

8.3 Delivery Confirmation

You will receive confirmation once your package has been delivered.

9. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND TAXES

9.1 New Zealand and Australia

  • Free shipping applies to all orders
  • In certain situations, additional fees may apply (we will notify you in advance)
  • GST is included in all product prices for NZ customers

9.2 International Orders

For shipments outside New Zealand and Australia:

  • Customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees may apply
  • These fees are the customer's responsibility
  • Fees vary by country and are determined by local customs authorities
  • We recommend checking with your local customs office for estimated costs
  • Danystone Designs is not responsible for customs delays or fees

10. DELIVERY ISSUES

10.1 Lost Packages

If your package is lost in transit:

  • Contact us immediately at office@danystone.co.nz
  • Provide your order number and tracking information
  • We will initiate a trace with the shipping carrier
  • The shipping carrier is responsible for lost packages
  • We will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue

10.2 Damaged Shipments

If your package arrives damaged:

  • Do not open the damaged package
  • Take photos/video of the package exterior showing damage
  • Record an unboxing video when opening the package
  • Contact us within 7 days at office@danystone.co.nz
  • Provide your order number, photos/video, and description of damage
  • Review our Return and Refund Policy for full details on damaged product claims

10.3 Delayed Deliveries

If your delivery is delayed beyond the estimated timeframe:

  • Check your tracking information for updates
  • Contact us at office@danystone.co.nz with your order number
  • We will investigate with the shipping carrier
  • Delays due to carrier issues, customs processing, or force majeure events are beyond our control

10.4 Incorrect Address

If a package is returned to us or delivery fails due to an incorrect address provided by you:

  • You will be responsible for reshipping costs
  • We will contact you to arrange reshipment and payment
  • Please ensure your address is accurate when ordering

11. UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES

11.1 Failed Delivery Attempts

If the carrier cannot deliver your package:

  • The carrier will leave a notice with collection or redelivery instructions
  • You are responsible for arranging collection or redelivery with the carrier
  • Packages not collected within the carrier's holding period may be returned to us

11.2 Refused Deliveries

If you refuse delivery of your order:

  • Return shipping costs will be deducted from any refund
  • Our Return and Refund Policy terms apply
  • Custom-made products cannot be refunded due to change of mind

12. DESTINATION WEDDINGS AND TIME-SENSITIVE EVENTS

12.1 Planning Ahead

For destination weddings or time-sensitive events:

  • Order at least 3-4 months in advance
  • Allow extra time for production, shipping, and potential delays
  • Consider potential customs delays for international destinations
  • Factor in time for any necessary alterations after delivery

12.2 Rush Orders

If you need your dress urgently:

  • Contact us immediately to discuss rush order availability
  • Additional fees apply for expedited production
  • Express shipping may be available for additional cost
  • Rush orders are subject to production capacity and cannot be guaranteed

13. INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY

13.1 Immediate Inspection

Upon receiving your order:

  • Inspect the package exterior for damage before opening
  • Record an unboxing video for your protection
  • Inspect the product immediately for any damage or defects
  • Try on the garment to check fit and quality

13.2 Reporting Issues

Any damage, defects, or issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery:

  • Email office@danystone.co.nz with your order number
  • Include unboxing video and photos
  • Describe the issue in detail
  • Review our Return and Refund Policy for full claims process

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

14.1 Carrier Responsibility

Danystone Designs is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by shipping carriers
  • Lost packages (carrier's responsibility)
  • Damage during transit (subject to our Return and Refund Policy)
  • Customs delays or fees
  • Failed deliveries due to incorrect customer address
  • Packages not collected from carrier facilities

14.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for shipping delays caused by:

  • Natural disasters
  • Pandemics or public health emergencies
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Carrier strikes or service disruptions
  • Government restrictions or border closures
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

15. INSURANCE

15.1 Shipping Insurance

  • We take reasonable care to ensure safe packaging and shipping
  • Signature-required delivery is strongly recommended for high-value items
